Website Design and Hosting
We host and design websites, here are a few things you need to know about having a website.
For a website you need three things.
1. A domain name
You must register and pay for a unique domain. Cost is about $10.00 per year, we use www.godaddy.com . There are many choices they are called domain registrar’s
2. A web hosting service
A web host is where you park your name i.e (www.willis4mayor.com) We act as a host and the cost will vary but basic hosting cost $120.00 per year paid annually. Web hosting also includes custom email accounts for you domain i.e for www.willis4mayor.com You can create info@willis4mayor.com or any other name you like. arnell@willis4mayor.com etc…
3. A website.
The cost to build a website vary but basic cost is $300.00 for a five page basic site. Most of this cost is in labor It takes time to build and refine a good site. Future updates incur a new cost based on the time spent.
You can of course build and maintain your own website if you have both the time and talent to do so. You will still need a web host for your site plus your domain name.
Each piece has it’s cost. The cost is ongoing.
